Garlic prawns

Ingredients

 

Prawns (Chingri) 8- 10 pieces
Garlic leaves (lahsan ke patte), chopped  (optional) 2 table spoon
Garlic (lahsan) paste 1 tea spoon
Garlic, finely chopped 1 table spoon
Onions, finely chopped 2 table spoon
Vinegar (sirka) 1 table spoon
Soya sauce 1 tea spoon
Black pepper (kali mirch), powder ½  tea spoon
Chilli flakes (Kuti  lal mirch) ½  tea spoon
Sugar (chini) 1 tea spoon
Salt (Namak) to taste
Corn flour 1 tea spoon
Vegetable Oil (tel) 3 table spoon

Instructions

  1. De-vein and wash the prawns and keep aside.
  2. Make a mixture of garlic paste, salt and black pepper and marinate the prawns with this mixture.
  3. Sprinkle little corn flour over the marinated prawn and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and add the marinated prawns and stir it for 5-7 minutes and keep aside.
  5. In same pan add onion and saute it over high heat till it becomes transparent.
  6. Add the chopped garlic and garlic leaves (if using) and saute it for 1 minute.
  7. Now in a bowl mix soya sauce, vinegar, chilly flakes, sugar and salt with ½ cup of water and pours this in pan and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Now add fried prawns, and cook it for 5 minutes.
  9. Meanwhile, in a bowl mix 1 tea spoon of corn flour with 3-4 table spoon of water and pour this into prawn.
  10. Let it simmer for 2 more minutes and put the flame off and serve this with fried rice or noodles.
