Ingredients
Prawns (Chingri) | 8- 10 pieces |
Garlic leaves (lahsan ke patte), chopped (optional) | 2 table spoon |
Garlic (lahsan) paste | 1 tea spoon |
Garlic, finely chopped | 1 table spoon |
Onions, finely chopped | 2 table spoon |
Vinegar (sirka) | 1 table spoon |
Soya sauce | 1 tea spoon |
Black pepper (kali mirch), powder | ½ tea spoon |
Chilli flakes (Kuti lal mirch) | ½ tea spoon |
Sugar (chini) | 1 tea spoon |
Salt (Namak) | to taste |
Corn flour | 1 tea spoon |
Vegetable Oil (tel) | 3 table spoon |
Instructions
- De-vein and wash the prawns and keep aside.
- Make a mixture of garlic paste, salt and black pepper and marinate the prawns with this mixture.
- Sprinkle little corn flour over the marinated prawn and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the marinated prawns and stir it for 5-7 minutes and keep aside.
- In same pan add onion and saute it over high heat till it becomes transparent.
- Add the chopped garlic and garlic leaves (if using) and saute it for 1 minute.
- Now in a bowl mix soya sauce, vinegar, chilly flakes, sugar and salt with ½ cup of water and pours this in pan and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Now add fried prawns, and cook it for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a bowl mix 1 tea spoon of corn flour with 3-4 table spoon of water and pour this into prawn.
- Let it simmer for 2 more minutes and put the flame off and serve this with fried rice or noodles.
