Tomato and Mint Salad

Tomato and Mint Salad

There are many common misconceptions about food. For instance, according to myth, healthy foods are not supposed to be tasty. I would like to disagree with that. It is definitely not the case when it comes to salads, especially Tomato and Mint Salad. The excellent combination of tangy tomatoes (tamatar) and fresh mint (pudina) will make you an offer that you won’t be able to refuse. The addition of cottage cheese (paneer) as the dairy element ties the whole dish together and elevates the tone. I have kept it simple here and used a classic salad dressing consisting of red wine vinegar and olive oil. Olive oil reduces bad cholesterol and is good for the skin. A couple of spices have also been used, which can be added according to taste. This Tomato and Mint Salad is an easy breezy one, and is akin to health served on a plate.
