Vegetable Manchurian

Ingredients:

For Manchurian Balls

Grated capsicum 1 cup
Grated Cabbage 1 cups
Grated Carrots 1 cup
Chopped Spring Onion ¼ cup
Chopped Green Chilies 2 tea spoon
Crushed Garlic 1 tea spoon
Corn Starch 4-5 table spoon
Soya sauce ½ tea spoon
Oil for deep frying
Salt to taste

For Gravy

Onion cut in cubes ¼ cup
Garlic Crushed 1 tea spoon
Soya Sauce 1 tea spoon
Red chilli sauce 1 tea spoon
Tomato sauce 2 table spoon
Pepper Powder 1 tea spoon
Red chilli flakes 1 tea spoon
Sugar 1 tea spoon
Salt to taste
Ajinomoto a pinch
Red food colour (optional) a pinch
Vegetable oil 2 table spoon
Corn starch ½  tea spoon

Instructions

  1. Mix grated vegetables in a bowl and squeeze out water from them.
  2. Now mix spring onion, garlic, few chopped chilies, soya sauce and little salt to the vegetables.
  3. Now add little corn starch and make small balls of the mixture.
  4. Take corn flour in a plate and roll the balls in it and set aside.
  5. Heat oil in a wok and deep fry the balls till golden brown, drain and keep aside.

For Gravy

  • 1. Mix soya sauce, tomato sauce, red chilli sauce, chilli flakes, pepper powder, ajinomoto, sugar, food colour and salt in a small bowl.
  • 2. Now in a separate pan heat 2 table spoon of oil.
  • 3. Sauté garlic, green chilies and onions cubes.
  • 4. Add sauce mixture with a cup of water and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  • 5. Now gently add fried balls to the gravy let it simmer for 5-7 minutes
  • 6. Mix 1 table spoon of corn four with half cup of water and add this mixture in the pan.
  • 7. Once boiled add the chopped green onions and serve it hot.
