Honey Chilli Potatoes

Ingredients:

Baby Potatoes 300 gram
Vegetable Oil for frying
Onion cut in cubes 1 medium
Capsicum cut in cubed 1 medium
Garlic finely chopped 5-6 cloves
Red chilli flakes 1 tea spoon
Black pepper 1 tea spoon
Chilli sauce 1 table spoon
Soy sauce ½ tea spoon
Honey 1 table spoon
Sesame seeds 2 table spoon
Salt to taste
Corn starch 2-3 table spoon
All purpose flour 2-3 table spoon

Method

  • 1. Wash and peel baby potatoes. Heat water and par boil pototes and immediately drain hot water. (Boil the potatoes for approximately 3-4 minutes only).
  • 2. Now transfer these potatoes in chilled water and leave it for 2 hours in fridge.
  • 3. After 2 hour drain out the water and completely dry the potatoes.
  • 4. In a bowl mix corn flour and all purpose flour, add water and prepare a dilute batter.
  • 5. Heat oil in a pan.
  • 6. Dip the potatoes in batter and deep fry till becomes golden. Keep aside.

To proceed

  • 1. In a pan heat oil, and add garlic paste, onions and sauté on high heat for 1 minute. Add capsicum and stir it for 2-3 minutes.
  • 2. Mix honey, soya sauce, chilli sauce, chilli flakes, black pepper and salt in a bowl.
  • 3. Add this mixture to onion and stir it. Add deep fried potatoes and sesame seeds.
  • 4. Mix everything on high flame and serve hot.
