Solkadhi

Ingredients

Kokam halves 5 to 6
Green chillies (hari mirch) 2 tea spoon
Ginger (adrakh) chopped ¼ tea spoon
Roasted Cumin (Jeera) powder ¼ tea spoon
Coriander leaves(hara dhaniya) finely chopped 2 table spoon
Salt To taste

Method

  • 1. To help get your Sol Kadhi the right baby pink color, soak the Kokam halves in warm water for about half an hour. This helps them turn reddish pink.
  • 2. Thereafter, extract Kokam juice from the halves by squeezing them properly.
  • 3. Now add chopped green chillies, coriander leaves and garlic and mix them.
  • 4. Then add roasted cumin and salt to taste.
  • 5. Keep it in the refrigerator (It tastes good without cooling too!)
